Central Terminal on the evening the first Amtrak "Turbotrain" visited Buffalo prior to entering regular service.
As a young teenager my father took me up to the Terminal for the inaugural arrival of the Turbo. It finally arrived about 4 hours late in the middle of the night!
Penn Central was still using office space here back then.

PC U33C 6548 crossing its train over to the Chicago main at Tower 49A just west of Central Terminal in the summer of 1976.
Central Terminal is not visible in this photo due to the haze on that summer day and a lack of contrast in the negative. It is between Tower 49A and the outcropping of trees to the left of the train.
The Terminal is clearly visible in this photo.

PC U33C 6548 crossing its train over to the Chicago main past Tower 49A just west of Central Terminal in the summer of 1976. This photo was taken from atop a signal bridge which no longer exists.
Visible in the photo are 6 tracks at this location, in 1999 there are only two tracks left as CSX' Chicago Main diverges to the right approximately one mile east of this location on ex-Buffalo Creek tracks.
Both Tower 49A and the PRR Northern Division connection to the right are now long gone.
