Recently amid much fanfare the four 9 foot diameter clocks on each
corner of the building have been restore to operation and are lighted
each evening from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM and again in the early
morning hours each day for the benefit of early morning area drivers!
The four clocks on the terminal tower were restored and illuminated
with a $15,000 state grant from the NYS Assembly's Tourism
Committee and the assistance of the Niagara Mohawk power utility.
The volunteer Central Terminal Restoration Corporation Clock
Committee completed the project under budget in time for a 7:00 PM
unvieling on October 1st, 1999.
